How did we ever choose sprouts as our traditional Christmas vegetable? Who really likes them? Well here’s a recipe that might actually change you mind. Sprouts baked with some home smoked bacon. Anything with bacon is excellent and this follows that rule.
Ingredients
- 10 sprouts
- A chunk of home smoked streaky pork belly
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Chop the smoked streaky bacon into lardons, 5mm x 5mm chunks.
- Chop the sprouts in half and take off the outer leaves and discard.
- Add the sprouts and bacon to a heat proof pan.
- Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Cook indirectly on your Egg at 200C for 20 minutes.
There’s no need to stir on this one, the slightly burned leaves add a real touch of flavour.
